The problem / requirement
A growing employer-of-record and agent-of-record business needed a suite of greenfield web applications and supporting APIs, plus a coherent security and data model across the wider business, rather than a set of disconnected tools.
Proposed solution & goals
Acting as engineering Tech Lead and solution architect, I designed and delivered a suite of secure, scalable web apps and APIs, and led the migration of applications, APIs and security models to Azure DevOps. Single sign-on and a clear source of truth tied the suite together, and third-party AI services were introduced and integrated where they added real value.
Challenges
Standing up greenfield architecture across security, data and engineering while the business kept operating; migrating live applications and security models without disruption; and keeping a cross-functional team delivering to a consistent standard.
Outcomes
A delivered suite of production web applications and APIs on a modern Azure DevOps foundation, with a unified security and identity model and AI services integrated into the workflow, delivered by a cross-functional team.
